Saturday 11th September A great day out riding across the old Murrumbateman Goldfields to Helm’s Winery for wine tasting followed by a gourmet lunch, then a leisurely ride back to Burnelee in the afternoon.
Janet Jeffs, one of Australia’s leading chefs, will prepare a three course regional food feast which will be matched with wines from Helm’s Winery. Even if you are not planning on riding, this is a great opportunity to introduce friends and family to the region’s offerings.

Sunday 19th September, 11am Spring Gleaning talk and taste. Gathering wild foods and saving seasonal crops is a passion of the Watkins-Sully family, who put the old Reidsdale cheese factory on the map with the popular preserves and ciders produced there. Discover the secrets of gleaning good foods growing free - from rare apples to blackberries, hawthorn, elderflower and nettles. $20.00 per person - bookings essential.
Sunday 19th September, 12pm Preservation Sunday Lunch. Janet Jeffs creates a feast of found foods and preserved produce with a country style pork terrine with pickled vegetables and spicy apple chutney. And for dessert, an apple cider panna cotta with preserved figs and rose hip syrup to make a perfect Canberra lunch. $30.00 per person - bookings essential.
