The Reception

If you are looking for a grand venue, then Old Parliament House is the place for you. Opening in 1927, Old Parliament House has been the backdrop for many grand events. Now it can be the perfect setting for the great event in your life, your wedding day.

Your reception will be personalised to suit your every need, from your individually selected menu, styling of our Members' Dining Room and gorgeous flowers following the seasons. Our Members' Bar is ideal for your pre-dinner drinks or the rear terrace to watch the sunset over New Parliament House. Our venue is the ideal setting for your wedding day.

We will greet you and your bridal party on the red carpet at the front of Old Parliament House and guide you through King's Hall offering you the perfect photo opportunity. You and your bridal party may choose to take some time out in your own private bridal room before joining your guests in the Members' Dining Room. We offer a wonderful variety of fine cuisine and local Canberra District wines.
